My Goals: IN ONE YEAR Learn to EAT, PRAY, LOVE ... My Way*

1) Find Health and Strength for Me and my Family (Physically, Emotionally, and Spiritually).

2) Have a Love Affair and Long-Lasting Friendship with my EC (Eternal Companion).

3) Be Available for My Children through their Triumphs and their Trials.

*As I followed Elizabeth Gilbert's journey through "Eat, Pray, Love" and now as you follow me on my journey, perhaps a world of possibilities will open up for you too. Where do you want to go? Who do you want to be? Me? I'd just like to learn to be my loving, happy self and live long and healthy enough to enjoy the outcome. And you? I encourage you to challenge yourself. What would you like to do next? What direction are you going? Our talents and uniqueness bless our world ... and someone is always watching, always following in our footsteps. My prayer is that our footsteps may always be worth following.

307 Days to Go - Kids are Amazing!

I love my children! Some are old and some are young. They add such variety to my life! They remind me of many things: laughter, curiosity, innocence, kindness, and unconditional love.

My older children are such great adults. I love hear about their adventures and seeing how they have made such wonderful decisions in their lives. The grand babies that they are bringing into our family are super fun to watch as they grow up. They are so smart. I guess babies can do nothing but surprise you as they learn things so quickly. One minute crawling, the next walking or reciting a song. Fun, Fun, Fun.

To children everywhere, Thanks for the joy you bring into our lives!

Really focusing on my children and grandchildren has been a neat experience. Listening to their needs and being available for texts and phone calls is what I do, and I love it.

  1. Hey, I love your children too. Of course I am their favorite uncle. [Pats himself on the back.] David can be their favorite other uncle.

I've always remembered you telling me that you've enjoyed being with your kids through each age group and all its adventures. It's a blast for me having a house full of teenagers. You helped me look forward to it. Thanks!

    Love ya tons,
Steve (Please notice the nice 'S'. Quite legible, don't you think?)

  2. Kids are great! I wish people could truly understand that and appreciate during each of their life phases, including letting them grow up making their own decisions and pathways. That's the best blessing of all ... seeing them fly.

    Love you tons more,
Lauri (Your 'S' is quite legible but near as memorable! smiles)
